My kid goes to bed at 7:30 p.m. and normally sleeps at around 8:00 p.m. after answering his activity books or after reading a book or magazine. He gets at least 9 hours of sleep every school days, more when there is no school.
When he arrives home at around 5:00 p.m., he reviews his quizzes for the day and reads the topics discussed for the other subjects. This normally takes only around 30 minutes. Then if his playmate, JJ, who is our neighbor is around, I let them play until 6:00 p.m.
This schedule means no tv during school days and limited tv when there is no school. Getting ample sleep makes him healthy, more alert, taller than other kids of his age. Many people have asked me what vitamins he is taking. I just answer “He goes to bed at 7:30 p.m.”
Me and Harvie John on Dec. 29, 2009 Christmas Party at our village. This picture was taken past 8:00 p.m. Look at his eyes. Since it is pass his bedtime his eyes are puffed and he gets tantrum already.
