I have myomas and operation is not my option. So I went to Dr. Tam Mateo in Pasig, Metro Manila.
Dr. Tam is the famous naturopath doctor in the Philippines. I first saw him in Salamat Doc in ABS-CBN. Since I am an advocate of alternative medicine and healing, Dr. Tam has become an icon for me.
My effort in going to Dr. Tam has been rewarded. Though I have not yet gone for an ultrasound, I have several improvement in my overall health:
1. No more dysmenorrhea – Since my period began, I always had dysmenorrhea. But after following the protocal given to me, I did not notice that my period started.
2. No more lower abdominal pain – Prior to my protocol, my lower abdomen was tender and painful when pushed. After just 10 days of the protocol, there is no more pain even if I pushed hard.
3. Flattened lower abdomen – Prior to my protocol, my lower abdomen was big because my uterus was enlarged due to the myomas. However, in just 10 days of the protocol, my lower abdomen is flat already and I presume that my uterus is not enlarged anymore.
4. Overall improve physical health
My protocol includes detoxification, replenishment of vitamins and minerals, and proper nutrition which aim to balance the hormones so that I will be healed.
Watching Salamat Doc, I saw several cancer patients that were healed by following Dr.Tam Mateo’s protocol. I just hope that more people will become educated with alternative medicine and healing. With alternative healing, our total physical health is addressed hence we can save more in a long term basis.

Hello, Jocelyn. As far as I know, they do not have specific products for losing weight. If you go there and talk to one of their specialists, they will give you a program to help you lose weight (if it is you who is of concern about this matter). The program will consist of a diet guidelines and specific vitamins and minerals to address your problem. Moreover, the diet guidelines will basically be vegetarian and the vitamins and minerals you can either purchase from them or you can buy from outside. My experience of losing weight by completely following their program was only from 108 lbs. to 101 lbs., so it was basically of no value to me.

I had no more time to go to my OB-GYNE for a follow-up check-up because I left the Philippines on Dec. 8, 2010. At present, I still have no dysmenorrhea, no tenderness and no pain on my lower abdomen even when I pushed hard. At present, I have no issues with my myomas. I am not vegetarian but I eat raw vegetables and fruits as much as possible and uses organic egg and organic vegetables and fruits when available.
Before going to Dr. Tam (I’m from Cebu), I have been taking the Miracle Tea for months already. There was an overall improvement in my health. I decided to go to Dr. Tam when my myomas became larger. Several vitamins and minerals were given on top of the Miracle Tea. So I believe the vitamins and minerals did wonders to my system.

But for your question, personally, I drink green tea anytime during work. When I am sleepy at work, I drink it as water, just plain tea, no sugar or other flavoring added. Whenever possible, I use organic green tea.

Once and for all, no processed food. These include all canned goods, fast food, candies. Anything that you buy and eat without cooking has chemicals in them that will disrupt our hormonal balance. And when you cook, do not add MSG, any flavoring like Maggi savor. Just read the labels. If you can’t understand or cannot even read the ingredients, don’t use it. No sugar definitely including softdrinks, juice in bottles, powdered juice. This is tough actually. I still indulge on those foods but very seldom like once in 2 weeks.
About Dr. Tam’s program for me, the list was very long. I can only remember a few of those. I was a vegetarian for 10 days, no fry or any oil, brown rice once a day, veggies, juice, water, the entire day. Then Miracle Tea, Liquid CA (this is anti cancer), raw vitamins, and a lot more. I also took 1 tbps. fresh turmeric juice once a day. There were several others that I can’t remember. Sorry.
It is best that you go to the clinic. Personally, it was worth it.

I was diagnosed with subserous myoma 8.6 cm just last may 16. I am scheduled for an operation myomectomy this coming july 12. I’m still 23 yrs old. Single and have no baby. I’m not afraid to undergo the operation but if there are other ways aside from the operation to eliminate this problem im very willing to do it. I would like to ask mam if what specific vitamins and minerals they prescribed you to take? And is that miracle tea really effective?

You’re too young to have that myoma, and too young to undergo an operation. My doctor explained to me the two options to remove a myoma: 1) remove the myoma only or 2) remove the entire uterus with the myoma (this means you cannot concieve anymore). If you’ll operate, ask the doctor to remove the myoma only and ask your doctor about scarring of the uterus and it’s effect on getting pregnant.
Personally, aside from being afraid on going under the knife, removing the uterus will have a tremendous negative effect on our health. Without the uterus, our hormones will be in chaos because the uterus plays a big part on controlling the hormones. If the uterus is removed the doctor will prescribed hormone replacement. My mother’s uterus was removed due to myoma bigger than yours. She was prescribed a hormone replacement, and during this time my mother suffered hot flashes, short temper, insomnia, and much more. So, I went to another doctor for a second opinion. That doctor took her off the hormone replacement tablet, and advised her to foods rich in hormones she needed. It’s been about 10 years now and she is perfectly fine.
About the Miracle Tea, personally it is very effective in cleansing the body. Sorry, I already forgot the vitamins and minerals that they prescribed to me. Actually, it was complete program which included the Miracle Tea, many vitamins and minerals, food to eat, juice to drink, and several others that I forgot. I suggest that you will go to Dr. Tam’s office. It’s worth the cost and the result. And the peace of mind, it’s tremendous.

The consultation was P200 or P250 (matagal na kasi yong sa akin). Ang mga vitamins, minerals, and cleansing total was P20K ++. No regrets ako. For 10 days you will be on cleansing and vegetarian diet, so you need to stay at home dahil wala kang energy during that time.

It is better to get another doctor’s opinion. Not saving the uterus is one of the worst things that can happen to us women. Our reproductive system, including the uterus, plays a very big role in our mood and health (physically, emotionally, psychologically). Without the uterus we will become moody, easy to anger, and all sort of negative effects on top of not conceiving a child.
About Dr. Tam’s, I only bought 2 products from them, the Miracle Tea and the Liquid CA (anti cancer drink). The rest I bought from Healthy Options in SM Cebu. All the vitamins and cleansing products “prescribed” to me were good for 15 days I think. Even before I finish those, I already felt I was more alive. My fibroid were 3.0 ++ cm each (I had 3). Small but enough to make my stomach bulge. After the 15 days protocol (they call it protocol because you only not take the vitamins and cleansing products but the type of food you eat is also controlled) my stomach flattened and I did not feel the pain anymore as I described in this blog.
I am speaking from my own personal experience. And if you were to ask me, I’ll tell you to go and try. What we’ll lose here will be just money if it won’t work.

Yes, it is really detrimental to our health if our uterus is removed. Nag-reply na ba si Dr. Tam or representative niya? Napansin ko kasi na hindi updated ang website nila. Pero yong mga phone numbers na nakalista doon were active about 2 years ago. They answered my text messages though sometimes it took them long to reply. About the products, ang mga vitamins at minerals pwede mong bilhin dyan sa Italy. Ang Miracle Tea at Liquid CA ay formula ni Dr. Tam which are shipped frozen. Otherwise, masisira sila. Yong akin 2 years ago P20++ ang total ko, including yong mga binili ko sa Healthy Options sa SM Cebu. Good for 10 days ang protocol ko. “Protocol” ang tawag nila. Ang protocol included na doon ang mga vitamins at minerals at mga pagkain at drinks for 1o days. Wala pang 10 days, pag-diniin ko ang uterus ko wala nang sakit. Personally, effective ang protocol sa akin. And since it is all natural, I believe maging effective din sa yo.

Ayaw ko naman mag undergo ng surgical procedures. I also have dr. Tam mateo’s miracle tea in my freezer. Di ko mainom araw araw kasi i work and baka i do not have acess to the bathroom all the time. Since I met this Indo-Chinese couple who are both GP / acupuncturists/ herbalists/ naturopathy / nutritionisits. My reproductive system improved after several several sessions. But, when i was able to watch an episode of Dr Tam at Salamat Dok, I should say that each naturopathy has different practices and beliefs differ. Since both of them believe in chinese medicine rather than western medicine, they usually follow the chinese med practices and use chinese herbs.
2 yrs ago when i went back to manila for the xmas holidays, I tried Dr Tam’s Green powdered product (i can;t remember the name though and even though i didn’t get a chance to consult him then) for 2 months and i felt that i became healthier. Sadly, i ran out of stock here in jakarta. Now, i am inspired to get an appointment when i go home for the holidays asap. i was hospitalised last month and my potassium and estrogen levels were unusually low, blood is so thick, and high cholesterol. I always had gastritis once my tummy reacts to certain foods even with fresh fruits, veggies or strong meds. Got symptoms of hypothyroid too. When i met the acupuncturist just recently, he recommended to stop eating fresh and cold foods temporarily becoz of my tummy condition until it’s healed. I have been consulting with 2 OB-GYNEs for more than 4 years. So, I had laboratory and ultrasound results with me when I went to Dr. Tam. However, during the “consultation” at Dr. Tam’s, I was not asked or required for any test results. I was just asked what my problems were. We talked for a long time after which I was given a list of “to-dos-and-not-to-dos”, what to eat, vitamins and minerals to take, Miracle Tea, Live Green, and Liquid CA.

Yes, every alternative medicine has each own practices. It is our obligation to have informed decisions on which method one is comfortable. I have been combining several alternative methods, including chiropractic for bone and muscle pain. As I said earlier, I combine both. We consult our family doctor for any health problems. My family and I have had medical laboratories, X-rays, and the doctors diagnosis. We are given prescriptions, we go to our naturopath specialist and discuss with them what is best for that circumstance. We have been doing this for years.
Since you have problems with potassium, estrogen level, thick blood, high cholesterol, the best person you should see is Dr. Tam. As Dr. Tam would normally comment on these kinds of health problems, “ang bibig and dapat operahan”. Personally, his 10-day protocol when one decides to change one’s food intake.
I also had severe gastritis. One night I thought I had heart attack because my chest was so painful that I can not lie down until morning. Our company doctor gave a prescription of antacid for 1 month. When I stopped taking it, my gastritis on again. I was desperate I spent several late nights research on alternative healing. I tried several herbs that cost me thousands. Still the gastritis was persistent. Luckily, I stumbled on a site that talked about a “hospital” for alternative medicine where a person can stay there and follow the program of that center. Unfortunately, it was located abroad. So, I googled again and found one in Luzon. It was not practical for me to go there because of work. And fortunate, I found one near our house, the Ananda Marga Wellness Center So the following day, I went there and talked to the director of the center. We talked about my gastritis. His protocol for me were:
1. upon waking up until 30 minutes before breakfast: 1 liter of water squeezed with 10 pieces calamansi and a pinch of salt. Calamansi is acidic but will become alkaline when mixed with stomach acid.
2. in between 30 minutes after breakfast until 30 minutes before lunch: 1 liter water
3. in between 30 minutes after lunch until 30 minutes before dinner: 1 liter water
4. in between 30 minutes after dinner until 30 minutes before bedtime: 1 liter water
- Plain tea without sugar, honey, and other can be counted as part of 1 liter.
- No eating of any kind in between meals. Eat at least every 4 hours. Our stomach will become empty in 3-4 hours. When the food is still there, the stomach will continue to release acids to digest. If you eat even the stomch is not empty it will continue to release acids hence one will have over acid or hyperacidity or gastritis. So it is important to allow the stomach to stop releasing acid first before you eat again.
- No sugar, no red meat only fish and chicken, no eggs, no oil or fried foods, no fast food and junk food, no bread or white rice. More veggies, fruits, fresh fruit juice not canned.
I was in this for 2 weeks. But even within the 5 days, my hyperacidity subsided, my was alert (I was very sluggish before), I was full of vitality, my skin glowed, I was more alive! I returned to the center after 2 weeks and the director was surprised with my changes. I still follow the “eat only every 4 hours and no eating between meals”. Because of work, I cannot drink that much water anymore but I still drink as much as I can. I hope this can help you.
You’re hypothyroid maybe also corrected when you do the 10-day protocol of Dr. Tam.

I am Ms. Marilou (OFW) 48 years of age with ultrasound result: Left thyroid nodule, size: 1.5 x 2.2 cm, also has done FNA test, the pathologist advise is to have another FNA after 6 months while Doctor’s recommendation is to undergo surgery to remove the whole gland where the mass/nodule is located. This will be possibly scheduled on May 2013.

My mother had goiter for more than 10 years (funds went to my studies and she had to wait until I had a job to have an operation). After the operation she felt her health has not improved, as if she still had the nodule and worse. She felt sluggish, no energy, no life at all. So we were advised to see an internist. Yes, every alternative medicine has each own practices. It is our obligation to have informed decisions on which method one is comfortable. I have been combining several alternative methods, including chiropractic for bone and muscle pain. As I said earlier, I combine both. We consult our family doctor for any health problems. My family and I have had medical laboratories, X-rays, and the doctors diagnosis. We are given prescriptions, we go to our naturopath specialist and discuss with them what is best for that circumstance. We have been doing this for years.
Since you have problems with potassium, estrogen level, thick blood, high cholesterol, the best person you should see is Dr. Tam. As Dr. Tam would normally comment on these kinds of health problems, “ang bibig and dapat operahan”. Personally, his 10-day protocol when one decides to change one’s food intake.
I also had severe gastritis. One night I thought I had heart attack because my chest was so painful that I can not lie down until morning. Our company doctor gave a prescription of antacid for 1 month. When I stopped taking it, my gastritis on again. I was desperate I spent several late nights research on alternative healing. I tried several herbs that cost me thousands. Still the gastritis was persistent. Luckily, I stumbled on a site that talked about a “hospital” for alternative medicine where a person can stay there and follow the program of that center. Unfortunately, it was located abroad. So, I googled again and found one in Luzon. It was not practical for me to go there because of work. And fortunate, I found one near our house, the Ananda Marga Wellness Center So the following day, I went there and talked to the director of the center. We talked about my gastritis. His protocol for me were:
1. upon waking up until 30 minutes before breakfast: 1 liter of water squeezed with 10 pieces calamansi and a pinch of salt. Calamansi is acidic but will become alkaline when mixed with stomach acid.
2. in between 30 minutes after breakfast until 30 minutes before lunch: 1 liter water
3. in between 30 minutes after lunch until 30 minutes before dinner: 1 liter water
4. in between 30 minutes after dinner until 30 minutes before bedtime: 1 liter water
- Plain tea without sugar, honey, and other can be counted as part of 1 liter.
- No eating of any kind in between meals. Eat at least every 4 hours. Our stomach will become empty in 3-4 hours. When the food is still there, the stomach will continue to release acids to digest. If you eat even the stomch is not empty it will continue to release acids hence one will have over acid or hyperacidity or gastritis. So it is important to allow the stomach to stop releasing acid first before you eat again.
- No sugar, no red meat only fish and chicken, no eggs, no oil or fried foods, no fast food and junk food, no bread or white rice. More veggies, fruits, fresh fruit juice not canned.
I was in this for 2 weeks. But even within the 5 days, my hyperacidity subsided, my was alert (I was very sluggish before), I was full of vitality, my skin glowed, I was more alive! I returned to the center after 2 weeks and the director was surprised with my changes. I still follow the “eat only every 4 hours and no eating between meals”. Because of work, I cannot drink that much water anymore but I still drink as much as I can. I hope this can help you.
You’re hypothyroid maybe also corrected when you do the 10-day protocol of Dr. Tam.
When I went to Dr. Tam’s, I just went there the day before the consultation day and listed my name. Then I returned the following day.

When my mother eats durian her blood pressure will go up, though my mom’s sister can eat it anytime without problems. I guess it depends on each person’s response taken into account our individual hormones and immune system. Every time you eat fruits and vegetables, take notice on any uncomfortable changes to you body like flatulence or bloating. It may mean that your stomach cannot tolerate the food that you have just taken. And don’t forget to keep yourself hydrated. Before I left our country, I drink 3 to 4 liters of water everyday which was the advice of the homeotherapy professional I consulted because I was severely dehydrated. I was doing some research about nonsurgical treatment for my case endometriosis when I remembered my husband’s suggestion of naturopathy through Dr. Tam Mateo.
I underwent laparoscopy last March 19, 2012 where the doctor removed a 5 cm cyst on my left ovary (which according to her is a bit larger than an egg!) and she also performed cauterization. I’m on stage 2.
After the operation, she asked me if I want to take some medicine that will stop me from ovulating so my wounds would heal soon but I want to have a baby so I chose not to make the medicine.
A year after my operation, my ultrasound result showed that a new cyst has formed (4 cm in size) ‘again’ on my left ovary and a 1 cm cyst was also seen on my right ovary.
I was so upset. I really want to get rid of my cyst and endo without having to undergo another surgery.
I want to have a baby and I know that endometriosis might be a cause of infertility.
You think Dr. Tam can help me with this? I mean, removing the cause of infertility which is endometriosis. I’m also worried that this might eventually develop into cancer coz we have a strong history of cancer in the family.

I know your struggle about conceiving. I have been there too. I’ve been married for 12 years and we are still waiting. The frustration, the pain, the excitement when I was delayed, it was so taxing. But now that I am 42 years old, we just let it go. We have already accepted that we cannot have a child. This is due to my fibroid (myoma) which created havoc to my hormones. When I first went to my OB, she was worried that I had endometriosis and was relieved to see just the myoma. I underwent several procedures to conceive costing us much money. Later on I decided I could not take the pressure anymore so I stopped. I was being scheduled by my OB for a laparoscopy but I declined. I decided enough was enough. And I am thankful that my husband is supportive.
Yes, according to my OB, endometriosis can cause infertility. She also said that surgery is a critical procedure because it can cause scarring which can result to no ovulation at all, or the fertilized egg cannot attach to the wall of the uterus because of the scar. Which is why she did not opt to operate my myoma (which I am thankful too because I was still uninformed at the time of any negative effects on my body).
You are right in being worried to developing cancer and it is good that you are considering alternative medicine. Though alternative medicine is a good choice, it is imperative that you seek professional help e.g. Dr. Tam. I tried doing it just on my own but it did not work. My first alternative doctor is in Cebu (I’m from there – this is about internal body cleansing). My 2nd is Dr. Tam and this is for my fibroid and it worked. It’s been about 3 years already and I still feel the results I had described in my blog. Though I still have not conceived **sigh**. I presume you are still young so the probability of you conceiving is high when your endometriosis will be corrected after Dr. Tam’s.
Having a baby is the fulfillment of being a woman (oh! I can only wish). While waiting, focus on your husband. You may not know it but you may have spent all your energy on the frustration of not conceiving.

Pero yong buong program ko with all the vitamins and minerals including the Miracle Tea and Liquid CA was more than P20,000. But it was worth it and more.
